Deepak Agrawal is the Founder Managing Director of SolAgri who started his professional journey with sales and distribution of industrial raw materials and FMCG products in 1994 before heading to West Africa in 2002 where he lived, worked, learnt, and created strong local relationships over a 7 year period. He shifted his base to Singapore in 2009 and has been living in Singapore since then.
Deepak derives tremendous strength from his deep understanding of geographical landscape and people in Africa, Central Asia, Indian sub continent, and Southeast Asia. He built Cotton, Raw Cashew, Non-GMO Soybean, Sesame export, and Cashew processing businesses from scratch and expanded these businesses globally.
He developed differentiated procurement models in origins, devised and deployed adequate systems and controls. He recruited and trained manpower in the respective countries to execute the business mandate. He developed sales and marketing channels in Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent. His track record in Counterparty risk control, Price and Currency risk hedging, and professional integrity is unmatched in the industry.
Deepak is MBA from JBIMS-Mumbai (India) and B.Tech from IIT Bombay (India). With his proven ability to visualise, plan, strategize and execute business objectives, he has been successful in establishing global business.
